Proclinical is seeking a Senior Scientist - Peptide Chemistry for an ambitious biotech company located in Watertown, MA.

This position will play a pivotal role in early-stage Peptide Chemistry, so we need a Scientist who brings a unique perspective both at the synthesis and "post-synthesis" stages, taking account of next steps like the pharmacology of the molecule as well as the deconvolution of libraries.

Must be eligible to work in the US.

Job Responsibilities:

Library design and screening for hit validation.
Suggest and advance research paths based on solid experimental data.
Independently work on projects, solve problems, and meet project timelines
Proactively participate, engage, and present results to team in project meetings.
Plan, implement, accomplish, and document work with high level of quality and detail.

Skills and Requirements:

PhD with experience in R&D methods and processes for therapeutic peptides.
Experience in screening peptide libraries; biotech industry experience a plus.
Innovative and resourceful Bench Scientist capable of delivering results and also driving results indirectly through team members / reports.
Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to work productively in a highly collaborative team environment.
Communicate clearly in written and verbal forms.
Readiness and ambition to learn and take on responsibilities.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
