Senior Scientist - Contract - Wilmington, DE
Proclinical is seeking a Senior Scientist specializing in Immunology to join a preclinical research team in the US. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of early-stage therapeutics aimed at addressing inflammatory diseases.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with a high-performing team to advance discovery programs.
Skills & Requirements:
- Advanced degree (PhD) in Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in molecular and cellular techniques such as RT-PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and sterile cell culture.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to scientific rigor and impactful research.
- Preferred experience with in vivo disease models (rodents), human immunology (innate and adaptive), or prior industry experience.
- Familiarity with multiplex protein or RNA-based technologies and multi-color flow cytometry is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for fostering a culture of scientific curiosity and collaboration.
The Senior Scientist's responsibilities will be:
- Design and execute biologically relevant assays to investigate mechanisms of inflammatory diseases.
- Apply scientific expertise to support and drive research initiatives.
- Analyze, interpret, and present complex data sets to inform program decisions.
- Perform cellular and molecular biology techniques, including RT-PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and sterile cell culture.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures and results.
- Communicate findings effectively to team members and leadership.
- Collaborate within a team while developing as an independent contributor.
- Contribute to in vivo studies as needed.
