Proclinical is seeking a Scientist or Senior Scientist - Assay Development, with a passion for innovation to join our content development team to augment our novel biomarker detection and quantitation capability. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, on multiple projects, and will be a part of a rapidly growing company to make a big impact in life science research and early disease detection and diagnosis. This position will be located in Fremont, CA.
Must be eligible to work in the US.
Job Responsibility:
- Design, enhance, and optimize experiments for new biomarker detection from beginning to end.
- Observe and analyze the impacts of multiple variables on assay performance.
- Perform troubleshooting if and when needed.
- Recognize and identify opportunities for product and process improvement proactively.
- Observe, identify, and document technology/product requirements, protocols, and/or work instructions.
Skills and Requirements:
- Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related discipline.
- Proven experience running and optimizing immunoassays, such as ELISA or similar, as well as experience producing, assessing, and analyzing assay data.
- Ambition and driven individual with a positive attitude, impeccable attention to detail, and proven ability to manage complex projects.
- Knowledge and familiarity in emerging reagent and immunoassay technologies.
- Experience in developing multi-plex assays desirable.
- Understanding and mastery in biomarker discovery, assay prototyping, performance optimization, and control system design preferred.
- Data management skills highly beneficial.
- Effective communication skills to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
