Proclinical is seeking an experienced Data Analyst who is passionate about making a positive global impact. This role involves contributing to research, preparation, maintenance and execution of life-changing therapies. The successful candidate will be part of a team overseeing clinical trials in various countries and creating structures for clinical research. They must have a commitment to quality and accuracy in order to improve health outcomes for people and communities worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement a range of moderate to complex analyses in support of epidemiologic studies.
  • Work independently to support the sponsor team on both prospective and retrospective studies.
  • Provide input in the planning and design phases of projects.
  • Handle client communication around cohort selection and variable definitions.
  • Review budgeted hours for Data Analysts for project planning purposes.
  • Conduct all programming work per RWE Good Programming Practices and QA/QC practices.
  • Provide general infrastructure support to the department.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
  • Develop the ethics and data applications for Scandinavian registry data access.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Biostatistics or related field.
  • Expertise in quantitative methods in health economics, health services research, epidemiology or statistics.
  • Experience using Scandinavian and UK data.
  • Experience working with large databases such as claims, EMR, registry data, clinical trial datasets.
  • Good knowledge of scientific research methods and practical knowledge of research implementation.
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more of the key programming packages (SAS Base or Enterprise Guide, SAS macro; R, SQL, Python, or PySpark) and Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
  • Proven ability to communicate and document information effectively in written English.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, prioritization and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive and positive approach to tasks and projects.
  • Experience communicating ideas to individuals and groups in a formal presentation setting.
