Proclinical is seeking a Senior Director Marketing, US Brand Strategy - Hematology located in Gaithersburg, MD and the DC Area with a global pharmaceutical and biotech organization. This position will play a pivotal role in driving the ongoing success of the Hematology Franchise by ensuring hematology patients receive optimal therapy.
Job Responsibility:
- Build and lead an integrated strategy and implementation of marketing plans in hematology.
- Define and lead development of the hematology cancer strategy incorporating multiple indications.
- Partner with Global Marketing colleagues to assess gaps and strategic needs to ensure market leadership.
- Partner with Business Insights and Market Research Team to define success metrics and analyze performance on an ongoing basis.
- Manage P&L for hematology; assess investment priorities and synergies to maximize operating efficiencies across heme in collaboration with cross-functional partners
- Assess value of marketing programs based on anticipated ROI/value/impact and formulate recommendations for future plans based on learnings.
- Lead the vision for new asset and new indication preparation, develop the plan for market entry and ensure strategically aligned initiatives to drive the brand imperatives
- Overall lead the marketing team's efforts to develop and communicate field promotional strategy and assets and monitor field performance against KPIs.
- Responsible for managing multiple program budgets, timelines, processes, and procedures.
- Manage partner agency relationships, workflow, and related expense budgets.
- Lead and develop hematology marketing team to their full potential, to ensure talent growth and expertise
- Collaborate with other functional areas and lead the review process to ensure legal/regulatory compliance and medical accuracy of all marketing materials
Skills and Requirements:
- Prior in-line HCP marketing experience highly preferred
- Oncology experience required; specific tumor-type experience highly preferred
- Experience across multiple promotional channels (Personal, Non-Personal and Digital, Patient marketing) preferred
- MBA or another Advanced degree
- Experience in US marketing within Oncology
- Customer-facing Oncology Experience
- Current relevant experience in Hematology commercialization
- Previous experience leading an Oncology Marketing Team
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- 8+ years' experience in US Pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in one or more of the following: market access, brand marketing, sales, pricing or market research/analytics, strategic planning
- Great oral and written communication skills, with ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex constructs
- Ability to manage multifaceted projects and collaborate in a highly matrix environment
- US Pharmaceutical product launch experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team
