Proclinical is seeking a Senior/Director, Global Scientific Engagement for a top biotech company. This is a permanent position with the opportunity to work remotely.

This position is searching for a highly skilled Global Scientific Engagement Director to drive internal and external scientific engagement strategy for the Infectious Disease portfolio in the field of Global Medical Affairs. In this role, you will be responsible for strengthening relationships with external experts, academic and research centers of excellence, and vaccine recommendation authorities.

Must be eligible to work in the US.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish professional and credible relationships with external experts, patient advocacy groups, scientific organizations, and research/academic centers of excellence to facilitate credible and transparent scientific exchange.
  • Lead medical affairs scientific engagement activities, including scientific meetings, scientific programs, conference presence, and symposiums, to enhance scientific knowledge within the clinical and healthcare community.
  • Develop scientifically rigorous strategic imperatives that address unmet medical needs and key scientific questions from the clinical and healthcare community.
  • Provide external insights to the Global Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams.
  • Organize scientific expert meetings, devise scientific engagement strategies, and facilitate advisory boards to generate key insights for the Global Medical Affairs plan.
  • Collaborate with the Global Public Health office to ensure consistent scientific engagement strategies across all scientific activities within the company.
  • Work closely with the Scientific Communications Lead to implement a cohesive scientific communication strategy for external interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, global, and national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies, and accepted standards of best practice.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory and legal requirements, as well as internal processes and procedures.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Hold an appropriate scientific/medical qualification (PhD, Pharmacist, Medic).
  • Possess exemplary project management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and the ability to assimilate complex data.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in an above-country role (EU/EMEA/International or Global) within Infectious Diseases and Vaccines, working with key Scientific Centers of Excellence and Organizations.
  • Extensive experience in adhering to Country and Regional Codes of Practices (including EFPIA).
  • Proficient in working with global vaccine experts.
  • Experience in coordinating and establishing above-country education programs and/or scientific symposia.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
