Proclinical is seeking a Scientist/Senior Scientist of AAV Vector Research and Development for a leading biotechnology company located in Boston, MA. As the Scientist/Senior Scientist, you will be responsible for working with fellow scientists in contributing to the development of AAV vectors for gene therapy.

Job Responsibilities:

Contribute to construct design, capsid engineering, AAV vector production and purification
Conduct analytical quality control testing for the vectors
Perform various experimental assays to screen gene therapy drug candidates
Contribute to experimental design, data analysis, and report
Maintain detailed and well-organized documentation with best industry practice
Self-motivated, highly collaborative and passion to working in interdisciplinary environment
Efficiently manage CROs and/or external collaborations

Skills and Requirements:

BS, MS, or Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, virology, immunology, or related discipline required
Hands-on experience with AAV production and purification highly preferred
Familiar with HEK293 cells and/or baculovirus system preferred
Extensive hands-on skills and experience with molecular biology, cell culture techniques, and cell-based assays
Proficient in cell culture, transfection, Western, ELISA, flow, ddPCR techniques
Outstanding problem-solving skills
Responsible and efficient with the lab assignments
Ability to be highly productive in a fluid, fast-paced team environment
