Proclinical is seeking to hire a Scientist located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Within this role you will be responsible for playing a lead role in downstream process development, scale up activities, and providing technical support for cGMP manufacturing processes. As the company continues to expand, there are plenty of opportunities for growth and development.

Job Responsibilities:

Possess a broad and current understanding of the technical, equipment and materials needs
Performing hands on work within a downstream purification lab
Performing column chromatography and filtration operations for process development, and scale up production
Completing scale up production runs, development reports, and process descriptions to ensure fluid transitions from development to manufacturing
Identifying non-conformances and implementing improvements to procedures
Writing technical reports utilizing sound scientific reasoning and interpretation of the available data
Collaborate with colleagues from other teams

Skills and Requirements:

Strong knowledge and understanding of principles of purification and filtration processes is required
Solid hands-on downstream process experience with chromatography systems such as AKTA and tangential flow filtration
Experience with analytical assays such as gel electrophoresis, western blotting, ELISA, amongst others
Organized record keeping abilities to effectively record, analyze, and document data
Demonstrates strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
