Proclinical is seeking a Scientist DPS Phys-Chem QC to join a team in Switzerland. In this role, you will focus on performing and overseeing quality control activities for physical-chemical assays under cGMP standards. This position involves working with small molecules, biologics, and large molecules, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting laboratory operations.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and validation physical-chemical assays, including compendial methods for content, identity, and purity testing.
  • Execute, review, and approve basic laboratory tasks such as mobile phase preparation and calibration of equipment like pH meters and balances.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and investigating laboratory equipment issues.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness, manage inventory and consumables, and ensure adherence to 6S and cGMP standards for audit readiness.
  • Support onsite customer and regulatory audits.
  • Oversee maintenance and requalification of laboratory equipment as the Instrument Responsible Person (IRP).
  • Participate in laboratory operational optimization and process improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a trainer for compendial and non-compendial purity methods in the laboratory.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Proficiency in conducting physical-chemical assays under cGMP standards.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in laboratory process optimization and operational improvements.
  • Ability to train others in laboratory methods and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain audit readiness.
