Proclinical is currently recruiting for a Scientific Director for a pharmaceutical company located in Branford, CT.

Job Responsibilities:

Contribute to program strategy and direction. Apply the latest innovations from relevant scientific literature to the research agenda.
Lead interdisciplinary team in developing small or large biologic molecules targeting HIV-1 treatment, prevention and cure.
Analyze and interpret experimental procedures according to the evolving needs of the research programs.
Report results in a timely manner to broader research teams.

Skills and Requirements:

PhD in biology, immunology, biochemistry or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience in academics or the Pharmaceutical drug discovery.
Experience in HIV-1 drug discovery or HIV cure research.
Experience in some aspect of virology is preferred.
Agile and distributed decision-making - using evidence and applying judgement to balance pace, rigor and risk.
Experience managing individual and team performance.
Committed to delivering high quality results, overcoming challenges, focusing on what matters, execution.
Experience implementing change initiatives and leading change.
Translating strategy into action - a compelling narrative, motivating others, setting objectives and delegation.
Building strong relationships and collaboration, managing trusted stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen.
