Proclinical seeking a Research Project Manager B for an innovative gene therapy program located in Philadelphia, PA.

As the Research Project Manager, you will serve in a leadership capacity to support an active clinical epidemiology research lab in pediatric oncology. Under the direction and guidance of the principal investigator (PI), this individual will assume a lead role, in providing project management, coordination, analysis and reporting activities for research involving prospective data, electronic health records, large administrative and survey datasets.

Must be eligible to work in the US.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate day-to-day activities for multiple research projects involving prospective data, electronic health records, large administrative and survey data. Coordinate the implementation and completion of study procedures including data collection locally and for participating outside institutions. Maintain all study documentation and complete all tasks necessary for study site visits. Coordinate data completeness and quality and monitoring activities.
  • Contribute to the data analyses, interpretation of the analytic results of clinical epidemiology studies, and lead the preparation of manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
  • Participate in and monitor data collection for retrospective cohorts
  • Identify and lead the development of grant proposals for external funding
  • Convene meetings with multi-institution collaborators to discuss progress and strategic goals, set priorities, and report key programmatic and financial metrics of on-going research Develop agendas, presentations, and materials for meetings in collaboration with PI
  • Summarize, and report research progress to Investigators, sponsors and team members. Responsible for working directly with principal investigator to complete progress reports.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Master of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in project management of health-related research is required.
  • Experience with clinical research required; experience managing multicenter research studies preferred.
  • Previous experience drafting protocols, consents and related SOPs desired.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities, communication and writing skills required.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and multi-level tasks required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Applicant must be able to appropriately prioritize, manage time effectively and exercise mature judgment.
  • Extensive skills in research methodology, including statistical software such R, SAS, and/or STATA is required.
  • Ability to work in diverse, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills. Position contingent upon funding.
