Proclinical is seeking a Research Associate to join a dynamic team in Switzerland. This role focuses on in vivo and in vitro research within the field of coagulation biology, contributing to the development of novel pharmaceutical assets. The position requires hands-on expertise in rodent work, molecular assays, and data analysis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on cardiovascular research.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and analyze in vivo and in vitro experiments related to coagulation biology.
  • Perform rodent procedures, including intravenous injections and blood collection.
  • Characterize the efficacy and safety of pharmaceutical assets using molecular and biochemical ssays such as ELISA, thrombin generation assays, and chromogenic assays.
  • Prepare, handle, and test patient-derived materials (e.g., blood and plasma) in in vitro and ex vivo settings.
  • Conduct data analysis and present findings to the team.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to lab organization, safety, and inventory management.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Degree in Life Sciences (MSc or BSc in molecular biology, pharmacology, immunology, or coagulation) or completed apprenticeship as a Research Associate with relevant experience.
  • Active LTK1 or FELASA certification (or equivalent), ideally with current continuing-education requirements fulfilled.
  • Proven hands-on experience in rodent work, including compound administration, monitoring, and organ sampling.
  • Proficiency in in vitro assays such as DNA/RNA isolation, ELISA, qPCR, and protein-based assays.
  • Strong skills in experimental design, data analysis, and independent study execution.
  • Fluency in English.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with thrombin generation and chromogenic substrate assays.
  • Surgical experience in rodents, including in vivo thrombosis and bleeding models.
  • Knowledge of coagulation, hemostasis, bleeding, or thrombosis biology.
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
