QC Lab Technician - Contract - Cranbury, NJ

Proclinical is seeking a QC Lab Technician to support the operation of a Quality Control laboratory in NJ.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have a proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams. This role involves managing raw materials, maintaining laboratory inventory, and performing basic laboratory testing in a GMP-compliant environment.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Immunology, or equivalent experience in QC or the biotechnology industry.
  • Experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with GMP laboratory settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to handle tasks with urgency and maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude.

The QC Lab Technician's responsibilities will be:

  • Draft raw material specifications under managerial supervision.
  • Assist with raw material lot inspections and stability pulls.
  • Obtain and collect product certificates from vendors and manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse and QA teams on raw material inspections.
  • Receive and properly store reagents, materials, and consumables in QC laboratories.
  • Monitor and replenish laboratory inventory, including submitting purchase orders and tracking orders.
  • Interact with procurement teams and vendors to source laboratory items.
  • Maintain GXP-compliant records of QC inventory.
  • Track storage and usage of QC samples.
  • Receive and log QC samples.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests such as pH measurement, appearance checks, and aliquoting samples/reagents.
  • Participate in routine laboratory cleaning and maintenance.
