Psychometric Rater - Permanent - Englewood, NJ

Proclinical is seeking a Psychometric Rater to support clinical trials by conducting structured interviews and administering standardized rating scales to study participants.

Primary Responsibilities:

In this role, you will play a vital part in evaluating psychiatric and neurological conditions while ensuring assessments align with clinical trial protocols and regulatory standards. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in psychology, neuroscience, behavioural health, or clinical research who have hands-on experience with psychometric rating scales.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Clinical Research, Behavioral Health, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience administering psychometric rating scales in a clinical or research setting.
  • Familiarity with clinical trials or research site operations is preferred.
  • Strong interviewing and assessment skills, particularly with psychiatric or neurological patient populations.
  • Knowledge of GCP, FDA regulations, and clinical trial procedures.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple studies and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with patients, caregivers, and study teams.
  • Experience or certification in administering assessments such as SCID-5-CT, MINI, MADRS, HAM-A, HAM-D, PANSS, C-SSRS, YMRS, MMSE, MOCA, ADAS-Cog, CGI, HDRS-17, RBANS, CDR, LSAS is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus.

The Psychometric Rater's responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct clinical interviews and prescreening assessments to evaluate participant eligibility for clinical trials.
  • Administer standardized psychometric rating scales to participants with conditions such as Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, PTSD, ADHD, Alzheimer's Disease, Anxiety Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders.
  • Score and interpret assessments to determine protocol eligibility and study compliance.
  • Maintain consistency and quality in ratings across studies.
  • Collaborate with clinical research teams, sponsors, and study monitors to address assessment-related questions.
  • Ensure participant safety, including identifying and responding to any risk of harm during evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with GCP, FDA regulations, and ALCOA-C standards.
  • Complete sponsor training and maintain rater certifications required for clinical studies.
  • Travel to other research sites as needed to conduct assessments.

Compensation:

  • $90,000 to $110,000 per annum.
