Proclinical is partnered with an energy utility company, who are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will focus on the architecture, design, implementation, documentation, and operation of complex, highly available network security solutions. This position is crucial for ensuring the security of critical communication infrastructures in the energy supply, BORS, and railway sectors.

Responsibilities:

Architect, design, implement, document, and operate complex network security solutions.
Manage firewall and LAN environments in both OT and IT settings.
Plan and implement security solutions for customer projects.
Collaborate with customers for implementation, handover, and operation.
Provide pre-sales support and technical assistance in offers.
Support and further develop security platforms as a platform manager.
Share knowledge with internal employees and customers.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in daily business and provide on-call support (2nd/3rd level).

Key Skills and Requirements:

Technical education in telecommunications or computer science with a focus on IT security.
Experience in designing, implementing, and operating network security solutions.
Proficiency in firewalling, routing, switching, IDS/IPS, PAM, and other IT security topics, ideally with relevant certifications.
Understanding of the security requirements of process control technology or OT is a plus.
Interest in new technologies and a willingness to learn.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills, high social skills, efficiency, and resilience.
Team player with an independent and reliable work style.
Fluent in German and proficient in English.
Willingness to work in Lupfig, Belp, or Frauenfeld.
