Proclinical is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Respiratory for a field-based role in Northern England. In this position, you will act as a scientific and clinical expert, building and maintaining professional relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) within the respiratory therapeutic area. You will play a vital role in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, providing insights to inform local medical plans, and representing Proclinical's client's respiratory portfolio as a scientific expert. This role requires a proactive approach and strong communication skills to contribute to the advancement of the product portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with KOLs and HCPs in the respiratory therapeutic area.
- Serve as a scientific and clinical expert, providing insights to inform local medical strategies.
- Represent the respiratory portfolio in scientific discussions and exchanges.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align on medical and scientific objectives.
- Gather and share field insights to support medical and commercial strategies.
- Deliver scientific presentations and respond to inquiries from healthcare professionals.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in the respiratory therapeutic area.
- Travel extensively (up to 60-70%) to meet with stakeholders and attend relevant events.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD strongly preferred); candidates with an MS in life sciences and extensive MSL experience may also be considered.
- Proven experience as an MSL, ideally within the respiratory therapeutic area; additional experience in cystic fibrosis is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and manage relationships with KOLs and high-impact HCPs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts clearly.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.
