Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for the role of Head of Corporate Clinical Research & Development. This role involves overseeing the departments of Clinical Operations, Clinical Strategy & Development, and Clinical Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the medical-scientific strategy of developing new products, planning global strategies for product portfolio development, and ensuring the operational implementation of clinical development projects. Please note that eligibility to work in Frankfurt without sponsorship or relocation assistance is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the departments of Clinical Operations, Clinical Strategy & Development, and Clinical Systems.
  • Direct leadership and development of the department heads.
  • Develop and implement medical-scientific strategies for new and existing products.
  • Plan and execute global strategies for product portfolio development.
  • Ensure the planning and operational implementation of clinical development projects, adhering to goals, timelines, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Allocate resources and prioritize tasks within the department to meet company goals.
  • Monitor competitor developments and therapeutic medical progress, implementing relevant findings in the department.
  • Manage personnel and financial planning for the department.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Medical degree with a doctorate or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including leadership roles.
  • Comprehensive experience in conducting international clinical trials phases I to IV.
  • Extensive experience in clinical development and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Experience in the development of biological and/or biotechnological preparations is advantageous.
  • Profound knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (AMG, ICH-GCP, EU/FDA regulations).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent English language skills and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
