Proclinical seeking a Medicinal Chemist for a well-financed and successful research organization located in New York.

Job Responsibilities:

Advancing a pipeline of in-house and external drug discovery programs across a diverse portfolio of small molecule therapeutics, using up to date structural based drug design approaches
Leverage an industry leading computational chemistry platform to discover new targets and manage CRO scientists to ensure timely delivery of quality scientific data
Lead molecule design from hit finding through H2L and LO stages to development candidate selection
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that affords the opportunity to help shape our drug discovery programs.

Skills and Requirements:

PhD and 15+ years industry experience in a biotech or pharma setting
Ideal candidates will have considerable experience in structure-based drug discovery projects for multiple target classes.
Experience leading multiple programs to IND submission stage
Relevant areas of knowledge include modern synthetic methods and analytical techniques, biochemical/biological assays, basic pharmacology and pharmaceutics, and intellectual property;
Experience with computational chemistry methods is desired
