Here at Proclinical we are recruiting for a Medical Copy Approver at one of the largest global pharmaceutical companies at their site in the south of England. This company is committed to developing high-quality medicine to meet real world problems. The Medical Copy Approver (MCA) is a medical support role, who plays a key role within the medical affairs organisation. The primary focus of the MCA is to review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials across different therapeutic areas and brands. At more senior levels (P3) the MCA may also be involved in certification of materials.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as either primary medical review, secondary medical review or both of promotional and non-promotional materials across different therapeutic areas and brands to ensure that materials are of high quality and in compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • Serve as medical certifier (P3 only).
  • Partner with the Marketing, Medical and Corporate Affairs teams on the review and approval of materials including attendance at any pre-approval meetings.
  • Provide constructive comments and feedback on materials as required.
  • Review and approve materials in a timely manner.
  • Keep up to date with developments relevant to the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • Author content for various brand initiatives, including promotional and non-promotional content.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Science degree plus ≥ 3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience.
  • Health science degree.
  • To attain a P3 level, the incumbent or candidate must be a pharmacist registered in the UK or a registered medical doctor.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and team-work skills.
  • High workload capacity including ability to manage and prioritize broad deliverables of a complex nature.
  • Ability to effectively partner across multiple functions including but not limited to Marketing, Compliance, Legal and Corporate Affairs.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Flexibility.
  • Desire to be stretched and to learn new things.
  • Desire to promote excellent customer experience.
  • Office based.
