Proclinical is seeking a Medical Advisor for a biopharmaceutical company based in Milan on a permanent basis. The Medical Advisor act as the Affiliate Responsible for all activities regarding Medical Advisory and Medical Information. The Medical Advisor reports into the Commercial Director. The role is crucial for the establishment of the company, given the need to provide a robust medical support to all activities. The person holding the role can be developing into future medical or pharmacovigilance positions and will represent the second backup in absence of the Commercial Director
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as "Responsabile Scientifico" (Scientific Responsible person) for the company
- Revise, store and translate (potentially with the help of dedicated resources/external agencies) communication materials; suggest modifications where needed/advisable
- Submit, in alignment with the Commercial Director and with the support of regulatory advisors, all scientific communication materials to AIFA and monitor their approval and the approval of all subsequent modifications
- Map, select and define the key medical stakeholders with whom to interact, in order to build a communication flow for appropriate scientific communication
- Interact, on a regular basis, with the scientific community by in-person visits and/or ad-hoc occasions (congresses)
- Provide, when requested, scientific materials to healthcare personnel and/or fieldforce
- Monitor activities of the pharmacovigilance provider, supplying timely and regular updates on their activities; manage and escalate any issue regarding pharmacovigilance appropriately
- Liaise with comapny HQ to gather all relevant information needed to perform duty assigned
- Ensure legal compliance to all applicable local rules and regulations, in alignment with applicable law, Farmindustria code and the company’s code of conduct
- Manage efficiently any resources (people, budget) assigned to obtain company's goals
Skills and Requirements:
- At least three years of total experience in pharmaceutical company in Italy; at least two years of experience working in medical roles (Medical liaison, medical advisor, medical manager);
- Experience in large multinational pharma company; experience in biosimilars; experience in heparins; pharmacovigilance experience
- Scientific degree (pharmacy or medicine or CTF - Chemistry and Pharma Technologies)
- Higher education (PhD)
- Italian mother-tongue or perfect fluency; Very good English
- Spanish
- Good knowledge Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
- Project management competencies; problem solving skills
- Scans his/her area of responsibility constantly and proposes, without supervision, actions and improvement ideas to way of work, processes and problems
