Proclinical is seeking a Medical Advisor - Disease Area Specialist (DAS) to join the Medical Affairs team. This role focuses on providing medical expertise across the innovative medicines portfolio, supporting therapy area strategies, and fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will also contribute to new product planning and late-stage portfolio management, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide scientific and clinical input for designated therapy areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust therapy area strategies.
  • Drive content creation and execute UK medical strategies and research plans for products and pipeline.
  • Act as a medical signatory, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and procedures.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee portfolio tasks, prioritizing based on brand team needs.
  • Coordinate efforts between brand teams and field medical teams to align with brand strategies.
  • Lead medical assessments for early-stage assets to inform launch and commercialization decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to critically assess information and provide recommendations for asset development.
  • Act as the primary medical lead for Health Technology Assessments (HTAs), ensuring expert input and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide medical expertise for non-promoted and late-stage portfolio assets, including sensitivity assessments and communication reviews.
  • Collaborate with commercial, market access, regulatory, and supply chain teams to manage asset lifecycle decisions.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Advanced scientific or clinical degree; registered physician or UK-registered pharmacist preferred but not required.
  • Strong scientific understanding with the ability to quickly learn new therapeutic areas.
  • Experience in medical affairs, including product lifecycle management and strategy development.
  • Knowledge of the UK healthcare environment and compliance with the UK Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and matrix team leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, assess risks, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Passion for improving patient outcomes and advancing scientific innovation.
  • Proficiency in Office business applications and familiarity with health technology assessments.
