Materials Management Planner - Contract - Cambridge MA

Proclinical is recruiting for a Materials Management Planner!
Primary Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of raw materials supporting internal manufacturing operations. You will focus on optimizing material planning, procurement, and inventory control while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
Skills & Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or relevant experience in Supply Chain Planning.
- Understanding of supply chain planning policies, materials management, and inventory controls.
- Strong analytical skills for resolving issues and forecasting.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and GMP principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability to change and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and Data Analysis.
- Industry certifications like APICS CSCP/CPIM are a plus.
The Materials Management Planner's responsibilities will be:
- Collaborate with Manufacturing teams to create material plans.
- Develop and manage material forecasts as needed.
- Execute material planning and procurement based on schedules and MRP principles.
- Establish and maintain safety stock and replenishment strategies.
- Update SAP master data entries as required.
- Monitor SAP transactions to ensure inventory accuracy and timely supply.
- Create and modify requisitions and purchase orders for materials.
- Expedite open orders and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Manage and report on raw material inventory to prevent disruptions and excess inventory.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
