Proclinical is seeking a Materials Coordinator to join a team in Rochester, NY.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support the daily operations of the Clinical Trials Specimen Management (CTSM) team, ensuring accurate handling, storage, and shipment of clinical trial specimens. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to regulatory standards, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Skills & Requirements:
- Background in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience in laboratory or highly regulated environments is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data entry skills.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information with confidentiality.
The Materials Coordinator's responsibilities will be:
- Distribute specimens to appropriate departments for analysis.
- Maintain specimen integrity for laboratory testing.
- Log and track specimen locations in computer systems for short- and long-term storage.
- Compile and analyze storage metrics and activity related to specimen storage.
- Document and resolve discrepancies, notifying relevant teams as needed.
- Prepare and ship specimens in compliance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations and protocol specifications.
- Create reports, manifests, or invoices for specimen storage and shipping documentation.
- Assist with validations of new shipping or cataloging systems.
- Perform daily receipt of specimen packages and document maintenance and monitoring functions.
