Market Analyst - Contract - Cambridge, MA

Drive biotech breakthroughs with data-powered insights in rare disease markets.

Proclinical is seeking a Market Analyst to support strategic decision-making in the rare disease and biotechnology space. This role focuses on designing and leading market research initiatives to inform brand strategy, patient engagement, healthcare professional (HCP) interaction, and campaign development.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure insights are effectively integrated into strategic planning and execution.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PhD) is a plus.
  • Experience in rare disease research, with an understanding of small patient populations, diagnostic journeys, and treatment landscapes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to influence brand strategy and tactical execution through data-driven insights.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to present to executive-level stakeholders.

The Market Analyst's responsibilities will be:

  • Design and lead primary market research, including qualitative and quantitative studies, to support brand strategy and campaign development.
  • Manage key quantitative studies such as ATU, promotional effectiveness, and ad hoc pulse surveys.
  • Collaborate with HCP and Patient Marketing teams to align strategies and messaging with customer needs.
  • Provide strategic insights to guide marketing decisions and optimize brand strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Market Access, Sales, and Analytics, to embed insights into planning.
  • Oversee external research partners to ensure high-quality, compliant, and timely project execution.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders in collaboration with research partners.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and recommend research approaches to address them effectively.
