Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company that specialises in oncology, is seeking a Market Access Lead for the Nordics region. This role will be remote-based in the Nordics and offers a dynamic start-up environment.

Job Role:

  • Maintain professional relations with key payers/reimbursement authorities and guarantee product market access across therapeutic areas and sales in accordance with company strategy.
  • The role will have a strategic and tactical focus for both pre- and post-launched products.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Local HTA/payer strategy
  • Early and constant engagement with payers, advice meeting and related activities
  • Development of outreach and engagement plan for key payers and their influencers
  • Create and maintain a strong contact network with key players and their influencers
  • Driving and being accountable for local in time P&R dossier submission and respective follow ups in the Nordics including achieving successful reimbursement
  • Identify key success factors for each relevant audience and prepare solid messages and reasoning that overcome national and regional Health Authority access barriers
  • Responsible for optimising reimbursed price
  • Develop local payer toolkits (including payer product value decks suitable for respective countries)
  • Negotiation with national, regional and local hospital payers
  • Cross-functionally work to develop fully integrated market access strategy

Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Direct market access experience from more than one Nordic country and in-depth knowledge of the Nordic pricing and reimbursement environment and trends
  • Pharmacy or Health Science Degree (Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry) is highly desired
  • Significant (5+years) experience of working in market access within the pharmaceutical industry or consultancy
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the Nordic payer system and reimbursement challenges and opportunities
  • Ability to identify key product advantages in the context of market requirements and provides key ideas for developing evidence-based compelling value stories suitable for payers in respective countries
  • Strong collaborator with an ability to work cross-functionally, cross-regionally to achieve results
  • Experience in working in a dynamic, start up environment is strongly preferred
  • Experience in working with hospital products, preferably in the area of oncology and rare diseases
