Managing Director, Medical Education - Remote- Permanent
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and innovative individual for the role of Managing Director, Medical Education. This is a remote permanent position.
Primary Responsibilities:
This role involves collaborating with internal and external experts to identify practice gaps, develop strategic needs assessments, and create high-quality content for medical education activities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing a team of Medical Directors and contributing to new business development.
Skills & Requirements:
- Comfortable working remotely and independently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Advanced medical or science degree preferred, or 4+ years' experience in the medical education field.
- Knowledge of specific therapeutic areas and existing relationships with faculty thought leaders.
- Proven track record of grant writing and significant experience designing, writing, and editing clinical content for healthcare professionals.
- At least 4-6 years of relevant experience in medical education, including managing individuals or teams.
- Solid background and experience in general medicine editorial topics.
- Adept at researching, compiling, and analyzing clinical and scientific evidence quickly.
- Solid editorial (writing and editing) skills and capability to adapt editorial style based on the educational format and/or the target audience.
- Expert at Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Word.
- Familiarity with AMA Style Guide.
The Managing Director will:
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the rules and regulations governing accredited continuing medical education and continuing professional development.
- Stay updated on important clinical issues and industry trends.
- Establish and maintain relationships with nationally and internationally recognized faculty thought leaders.
- Design high-quality, accredited education based on unmet needs and clearly defined learning objectives.
- Collaborate with the project team to finalize educational content, visuals, and multimedia elements.
- Develop questions for post-tests, outcomes assessments, and learner surveys.
- Contribute to new business development by identifying clinical practice gaps and potential funders.
- Manage and mentor a team of medical directors.
