Proclinical is seeking a Laboratory Technician specializing in QC Microbiology to join a large-scale manufacturing facility in Solothurn, Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for executing microbiology-related testing activities and supporting the development of quality control processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring the preparation and functionality of laboratory instrumentation and maintaining compliance with cGMP standards.

Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological testing, including bacterial endotoxin tests, microbial identification, growth promotion tests, and microbial enumeration.
- Support day-to-day Quality Control operations, including routine environmental monitoring (EM) and utility monitoring (UM) sample testing, as well as manufacturing support samples such as cleaning and in-process samples.
- Author and review GMP documentation, including protocols, procedures, CAPAs, and deviations.
- Contribute to the development and execution of QC Microbiology-related studies and analytical procedures.
- Ensure laboratory instrumentation is prepared for manufacturing operations and maintain data integrity within cGMP-regulated computerized systems.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for classical and rapid microbiological methods and associated instrumentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support high-throughput operations and integrate real-time monitoring and automation into routine testing.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Background in microbiological analytical methodologies, including bioburden and endotoxin testing, and growth promotion tests.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environment, with knowledge of GMP standards.
- Apprenticeship degree (Laborant EFZ) in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
- Proficiency in modern analytical microbiological techniques and quality strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in productivity software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and familiarity with quality systems and business processes related to microbiology testing.
- English language proficiency at a minimum B1 level.
