Lab Technician

Lab Technician - Contract - Bogart, GA

Proclinical is actively seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician. This is a contract role located in Bogart, GA.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and welfare of animals in a laboratory setting, as well as ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. This role also involves tasks related to inventory control, record maintenance, and handling of supplies and materials.

Skills & Requirements:

• Sanitize animal rooms, enclosures, equipment, corridors, and support areas.
• Provide nutrition to animals by supplying feed and water.
• Organize and maintain animal enclosures, supplies, and equipment.
• Prepare buffers.
• Manage inventory control.
• Revise cGMP documentation.
• Assess animal health status by gathering and documenting data and observing animals.
• Administer treatments and euthanize animals when necessary.
• Initiate and maintain records as per standard operating procedures.
• Handle and restrain animals using appropriate techniques.
• Oversee packaging of waste materials sent out for incineration.
• Receive and properly process incoming shipments of supplies and materials.

The Lab Technician will:

• Experience working in a Laboratory Animal Facility or performing work in a cGMP environment.
• Bachelor's degree in biology or related field.
• No unmanaged allergies to animals.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Ability to closely follow established procedures.
