Proclinical is recruiting for an individual who is strategic, experienced in drug product development and manufacturing, and skilled in project management and stakeholder management to join the Drug Product and Finished Good Industrial Program team.
About the Role:
In this global role, the successful candidate will bring a strategic vision and leadership in the industrialization of late-stage development and commercial products, including biologics and small molecules. You will develop cutting-edge industrialization strategies and manage a portfolio of strategic manufacturing projects and programs. You will also act as a Product Subject Matter Expert (SME) steward within the company's community, driving key activities related to drug product manufacturing, coordinating cross-departmental efforts, and ensuring submission preparation and approval worldwide.
Who You Will Work With:
This position works closely alongside late-stage development groups, ensuring alignment between product development strategies and industrialization capabilities. As the product SME, you will work cross-functionally, interacting with manufacturing teams, regulatory groups, and external partners to ensure product sustainability and lifecycle management. You will also manage strategic manufacturing projects and guide decision-making within sourcing and supply governance frameworks.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and oversee a portfolio of strategic projects focused on industrialization and manufacturing.
- Establish long-term capacity and capability plans at the portfolio level.
- Serve as a Product expert, ensuring alignment between product development and manufacturing strategies.
- Ensure launch readiness and effective lifecycle management for late-stage development and commercial products.
- Manage industrial project portfolios related to product launches, lifecycle management, and process optimizations.
- Assess technical, regulatory, and financial feasibility of line extensions and manufacturing changes.
- Centralize knowledge on commercial manufacturing processes and represent industrial interests in governance bodies.
- Lead initiatives in process improvements, environmental impact assessments, and cross-functional projects.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field alongside a strong working experience in drug product manufacturing, development, and industrialization, including sterile and solid forms.
- Hands-on experience in commercial manufacturing and state-of-the-art drug product processes.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with registration and approval processes in regions such as the EU, US, China, and Japan.
- Knowledge of cGMP quality and regulatory requirements for drug product manufacturing.
- Understanding of financial processes, including cost of goods (CoGs) and investment decision-making.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects, balance priorities, and deliver results across functional teams.
- Experience in assessing manufacturing capacities and implementing long-term industrial strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on stakeholder management and collaboration.
