Proclinical are recruiting for a Head of Vector Development to join a biotech organisation. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities:

Guide the AVV vector development team as well as offer exemplary scientific leadership for the business' AAV research programs to drive forward the general corporate method.
You will be responsible for guiding continued novelty in payload/cargo design, forming inter-divisional collaborations.
Partake in the process of selecting, prioritising, and hastening the development of projects and technologies.
Participate in finding, protecting and growing the intellectual property portfolio.
Accountable for guaranteeing data integrity throughout the capsid engineering team, cooperating with all discovery research scientists to guarantee testing of innovative vectors in.
Other duties may be assigned.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Educated to an advanced degree level in a pertinent scientific field.
A motivated individual with scientific acquaintance in leading, developing and training a team of scientists with a background in innovative promotor/payload/expression design to advance therapeutically positioned AAV gene therapies.
Demonstrable experience ideally in the field of molecular biology, gene therapy, virology, biochemistry from within both the academic and pharmaceutical environment.
An enthusiastic individual with a can-do mindset.
Capable of resolving issues.
Leadership skills.
Interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing.
