Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and strategic individual for a permanent role of Head of Market Access in UK & Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing brand and portfolio-wide strategies to support our products. This role involves strategic engagement with payers, relationship and account management, and implementing access agreements for optimal uptake of our products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of market access and policy issues, and a broad knowledge of the evolving healthcare landscape.

Responsibilities:

- Provide guidance across all portfolio and pipeline medicines.

- Identify market access opportunities through effective planning and development of business proposals.

- Develop strategic business partnerships with key payers and related agencies.

- Lead the team to develop and deliver high-quality HTA submission dossiers.

- Represent the company at public meetings, NICE appraisal committee meetings, and conferences.

- Understand the optimal pricing and market access approach at national and sub-national levels.

- Establish relationships with key payor stakeholders and related influence groups.

- Develop optimal pricing and market access strategies for pipeline products and in-line brands.

Key Skills and Requirements:

- Degree or equivalent level with a life sciences qualification. Postgraduate certificate or MSc in Health Economics or Economic Evaluations is a bonus.

- Demonstrable experience of strategic leadership across market access.

- Significant experience with health technology assessments, leading and developing submissions to UK HTA bodies.

- Strong understanding of specialist diseases relevant to our portfolio and pipeline (oncology, rare diseases, neurology).

- Excellent influencing and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

- Proficiency in English.

- Understanding of NHS and decision processes involved in bringing drugs to the market.

- Knowledge of horizon scanning and HTA organisations and other key external stakeholder bodies.

- Competent in multi-stakeholder project or programme management.

- Confidence with clinical data and clinical terminology, methodology and procedures.

- Medical writing skills, effective communication and well-developed presentation skills.

- Management and Leadership skills.
