Head of EHS

Proclinical are recruiting for a Head of EHS to join a biotech organisation. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Frankfurt.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and document risk assessments for multiple actions.
• Plan and implement audits within the supervisory area of the division.
• You will consult on the design of workplaces and processes.
• Responsible for developing and upkeeping integrated management systems, as well as perform routine workplace inspections, training sessions and briefings.
• Form and manage operational procedures within the field of energy management, environmental protection and occupational safety.
• The ideal candidate will cooperate with authorities, professional affiliations, works council and company doctor.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level in an engineering field such as process engineering, chemical engineering, or pharmaceutical technology, though further training as a specialist (m/f/d) for occupational safety with demonstrable experience in the practical elements within a related organisation will be taken into consideration.
• Expertise on occupational safety law and connected legal areas as well as in the field of explosion protection.
• Familiarity with management systems, which involves ISO 9001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001.
• Demonstrable experience within a professional and disciplinary leadership role of a team.
• Acquaintance with GMP guidelines would be ideal.
• Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Fluency in both German and English.
