Proclinical is looking for a Senior Director of Oncology Research to lead strategic clinical development efforts in the oncology domain.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving clinical development strategies, managing global studies across various phases, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve critical milestones. This position also involves leading a team of medical professionals and ensuring alignment with regulatory guidelines and organizational objectives.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD) with board certification in oncology.
  • Extensive clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in oncology.
  • Expertise in designing and overseeing clinical programs, including Phase I, II, and III studies.
  • Strong knowledge of the drug development process and oncology therapeutic area.
  • Proven success in stakeholder management, vendor management, and resource planning.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies such as the FDA or EMEA.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a matrix environment, with a track record of managing clinical research teams.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (Master's or higher) preferred.

The Executive Director's responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and oversee clinical research initiatives aligned with strategic business goals.
  • Develop and implement clinical research strategies to achieve program milestones in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee clinical development plans (CDPs) and drug development plans (DDPs) for marketed and developmental compounds.
  • Build and maintain relationships with leadership teams to promote best practices and strategic alignment.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to drive long-term project objectives.
  • Ensure clear communication of targets, cascade critical information, and foster accountability within teams.
  • Oversee resource planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and process development in line with strategic priorities.
  • Mentor and develop talent within the clinical development team, providing feedback, coaching, and growth opportunities.

Compensation:

  • $400 000.00 - $425 000.00 Per Annum
