Executive Director, Immunology Cell Therapy Translational Science - Permanent - Boston MA

Proclinical are seeking an innovative leader in translational science to head up the Immunology Cell Therapy Translational Science team.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for driving translational and biomarker activities in a biopharma company building a leading portfolio of cell therapies for immunology and autoimmune diseases.

Skills & Requirements:

  • D. or MD in a relevant scientific field and/or medical qualification with over 10 years of industry experience, preferably in immunology and cell therapies.
  • Expertise in all stages of the drug development process, along with regulatory knowledge of IND and BLA filings.
  • Deep understanding of immune-mediated disease pathogenesis and the use of cellular and molecular technologies to inform program decisions.
  • Proven track record in managing high-risk programs/projects and making strategic decisions.
  • Experience in budget management and control.
  • Visionary with excellent problem-solving skills, passion, and drive to succeed.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the energy to lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at high levels with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in establishing and managing external partnerships in immune-mediated diseases.

The Executive Director, Immunology Cell Therapy Translational Science's responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and manage all stages of the drug development process.
  • Oversee regulatory filings, including IND and BLA submissions.
  • Utilize cellular and molecular technologies to inform program decisions.
  • Manage budgets and control financial aspects of projects.
  • Make strategic decisions to guide high-risk programs.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Establish and manage external partnerships in immune-mediated diseases.
  • Communicate and influence at high levels with internal and external stakeholders.
