EHS Manager - Contract - Hybrid

Proclinical Staffing is seeking a EHS Manager to join a cutting-edge biotech company. This is a contract role with the opportunity to work hybrid in Cranbury, NJ.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Master's degree in science/engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience implementing biosafety and EHS programs
  • Additional professional EHS credentials such as CSP and/or CIH highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of biosafety, biologics manufacturing, and EHS management systems
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local biosafety and EHS requirements
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a customer-service mindset
  • Proficiency in MS Office and presentation skills

The EHS Manager will:

  • Oversee the EHS function and provide direction to the team on EHS and biological safety practices
  • Foster open communication for EHS-related questions and concerns among employees
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) for global EHS training compliance
  • Implement and manage the new EHS management system for various EHS concerns
  • Manage the EHS SharePoint site for incident reporting, chemical waste pickups, safety blog, and more
  • Handle digital and physical paperwork and records across various platforms for EHS functions
  • Navigate the Quality Management System and manage EHS-related GMP SOPs
  • Coordinate EHS vendors and contractors for various programs and services
  • Manage the EHS budget and track costs
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and biological permitting requirements
  • Oversee the Occupational Health program, including vaccinations and PEP
  • Manage incident investigation processes and communicate trends to stakeholders
  • Facilitate Safety Committee initiatives
  • Implement Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) and Ergonomics initiatives
  • Lead engagement initiatives and maintain high visibility for the EHS program
  • Document, align, and train staff on EHS plans, policies, and guidelines
  • Serve as a liaison for EHS-related regulatory audits
  • Provide EHS input on new projects and modification programs
  • Support ongoing construction projects and industrial hygiene strategy
  • Ensure emergency management policies and procedures are in place for business continuity
