Proclinical is currently recruiting for a Disinfectant Associate with a pharmaceutical company located in Philadelphia, PA.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Disinfecting the rooms (ceilings, walls, floors and surfaces)
  • Prepare labs and trained in Pharmaceutical practices
  • Restocking of lab supplies, gowning, scrubs
  • Wear scrubs in some areas and fully gowned head to toe in other areas
  • More than likely - Wednesday - Saturday 130p-12a
  • Work closely with Supervisor to ensure all associates are performing disinfection task according to procedures/SOP's and regulatory standards
  • Must be able to wear appropriate clean room attire (i.e. surgical masks) and all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Perform cleaning methods, such as wiping techniques of equipment, wall and ceiling moping and floor moping techniques.
  • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of cleaning equipment
  • Coordinates basic corrective maintenance
  • Responsible for the cleaning/sanitization solution and material preparation
  • Understands aseptic technique concepts/proper cleanroom behavior
  • Provides input and reviews validation documentation
  • Assists with the execution of validation activities
  • Responsible for ordering, scheduling, receiving and the organization of gowning and cleaning materials
  • Identifies and communicates material discrepancies
  • Follows compliance and regulatory requirements and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) Identifies, communicates, addresses and improves complex cGMP compliance and regulatory gaps and issue
  • Revises, authors and reviews simple and complex SOPs
  • Improves the efficiency and execution of SOPs
  • Follows and executes Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Trains others on SOPs, equipment, all unit operations and non-manufacturing SOPs and systems
  • Trains, coaches and mentors others on basic operations such as cleaning/sanitization of cleanrooms, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, solution and material preparation
  • Participates in the development of technical documents such as non-conforming events and deviations
  • Possess basic computer skills and able to efficiently use basic Microsoft applications
  • Suggests, participates, leads and implements continuous improvement ideas
  • Assist with Communication on updated organizational information on job expectations and supporting their work
  • Follow Proper cleaning/disinfecting schedules
  • Prepares and adjusts work assignment schedule for team
  • Assist Supervision with internal pre-audits walkthroughs, CGMP housekeeping and general organization and upkeep of manufacturing spaces
  • Perform job specific tasks in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards, and Company Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices

Skills and Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements for cGMP manufacturing facility, especially as they apply to cleaning practices/sterile assurance.
  • Ability to accurately and reproducibly perform arithmetic calculations including fractions, decimals and percentages and basic algebraic and geometric calculations
  • Ability to lead a team and work with minimum supervision and handle problems that may arise
  • Must be able to wear appropriate clean room attire (i.e. surgical masks) and all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Works in production environment with exposure to latex and bleach. Potential exposure to noise and equipment hazards (i.e. vacuum pumps, pressurized vessels), dangerous materials (i.e. chemicals, solvents, pathogens), freezer burns, allergens and strong odors
  • Based on work assignment, may be recommended to have medical testing in accordance with the company's Occupational Health Program.
  • Holiday and shift work often required based on manufacturing schedule as determined by Management.
  • Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills
  • Need to be able to read, write and understand English
  • Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
