Director of Nursing - Permanent - Illinois, Chicago

Proclinical is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead and manage nursing services within the oncology and medical devices space at our client's facility. This is an exciting opportunity to shape impactful, patient-facing programs in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will bridge advanced technologies with patient care, overseeing the implementation of innovative services that enhance the patient experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to expand and operate a high-performing nursing team while supporting clinics in adopting new technologies.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
  • OCN certification required; CRNI desirable.
  • Active RN license in good standing.
  • Strong knowledge of oncology treatment guidelines, clinical research, and healthcare regulations.
  • Experience in oncology infusion therapy, including patient assessment and venous access skills.
  • Leadership experience as a Director of Nursing or Alternate DON preferred.
  • Excellent multitasking, customer service, and computer skills.
  • Familiarity with platforms like Office 365, EMR systems, and third-party referral tools is advantageous.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings as per policy.

The Director of Nursing's responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Nursing Services program for home infusion care in oncology.
  • Provide skilled nursing care, including patient assessments, caregiver education, and emergency response.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, professional standards, and state/federal regulations.
  • Complete and submit accurate and timely patient care documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding patient conditions.
  • Manage on-call responsibilities and ensure 24-hour availability as needed.
  • Oversee quality programs, lab result monitoring, and electronic medical record (EMR) updates.
  • Schedule and assign tasks for nursing staff, maintaining accountability for schedule integrity.
  • Supervise and orient nursing staff, ensuring licensure and competency requirements are met.
  • Act as the primary representative for the nursing team and ensure coverage during absences.
  • Handle patient complaints empathetically and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of quality care and teamwork within the organization.
  • Participate in staff immunizations and health testing as required.

Compensation:

  • $90 000.00 - $100 000.00 Per Annum
