Role:
As a Recruitment Consultant, you will be tasked with working with clients and candidates and building relationships to give you a better understanding of individual recruitment needs, with the aim of placing candidates into perm roles in the San Diego area.
Key responsibilities:
- Able to qualify candidates, challenging on expectations, negotiating rate or salary
- Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work;
- Identifying senior candidates in the market with a view to flipping them into a business development opportunity
- Closing candidates on their commitment to a job, commitment to interviewing in a suitable timeframe and starting within the client's start date
- Negotiating pay and salary rates and finalising arrangements between client and candidates;
- After-care guiding candidates through compliance, first day and throughout rebate period
- Focus on winning tangible leads that would generate new business opportunities
- Able to identify, approach and pitch for business with a credible value proposition
- Able to land and expand within existing clients belonging to Proclinical. Developing own accounts and showing motivation to win multiple jobs
- Able to qualify a job to a good standard: understanding the client's needs, wants, the competition on the job and agreeing a timeline with the client for feedback and milestones
- Competent in looking for jobs using a variety of RTM e.g marketing a candidate, taking a reference, cross selling, repeat business, back filling
- Pitching for and winning meetings via Skype and/or f2f
- Overcoming objections from clients effectively, using intelligent techniques and successfully converting to a positive result from a call
- Negotiating & agreeing T&Cs at the early stage of a deal process
- Managing interviews & taking feedback whilst exercising candidate and client control, managing offers through to closing a deal
- Effectively growing a personal and team database, ensuring that any conversations or attempts at conversations are being logged suitably
- Confident knowledge of vertical, understanding technical demands of the responsibilities of your candidates and the desired qualities your clients have
- Working towards and exceeding targets that may relate to the number of candidates placed, a value to be billed to clients or business leads generated.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven success within the recruitment industry (Life Sciences preferred but not essential)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Good sales, persuasion and negotiation skills
- A confident and positive attitude
- The ability to work under pressure and meet targets
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- The ability to work well in a team
- Industry experience in, or a passion for Life Sciences
