Cloud Security Network Engineer

Proclinical is looking for a Cloud Security Network Engineer to manage and optimize cloud network security solutions, including planning, implementation, and troubleshooting. The role involves developing automation tools, supporting secure configurations, and responding to security incidents. Ideal candidates will have expertise in cloud technologies, network security, and relevant certifications, along with strong analytical skills.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.

Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for operation, maintenance and documentation of network security solutions in the cloud with interfaces to the on-prem infrastructure
• Planning the design, implementation, further development and optimization of network security solutions in cloud environments and supporting solutions as a platform manager
• Proactive monitoring of the network and security infrastructure, fault analysis and troubleshooting in daily business, as well as response to security incidents and threats - including on-call service
• Developing automation tools to optimize recurring tasks in the area of ??network security infrastructure
• Supporting internal teams in the secure configuration of network services, applications and implementation of security policies in cloud environments

Key Skills and Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge in the areas of public cloud, IaC/Terraform, ZTNA, WAF, proxies, firewalling, routing, switching - ideally with appropriate certifications
• Experience with technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Zscaler, Cloudflare, etc.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills and are interested in new technologies and willing to learn more about security topics and acquire the necessary specialist knowledge
• Technical education in the field of computer science, cloud technologies or telecommunications with several years of professional experience and specialization in IT security
• Fluent in German and business fluent in English
