Clinical Drug Supply Chain Manager - Contract - Cambridge, MA

Proclinical is seeking a Clinical Supply Chain Manager for a contract role based in the US.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will play a key role in forecasting investigational product (IP) supply requirements, managing distribution processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to support clinical trials effectively.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong expertise in clinical supply management, including forecasting, inventory tracking, and distribution.
- Familiarity with IRT systems and their application in clinical trials.
- Ability to develop and oversee IP-related strategies, including expiry management and vendor coordination.
- Experience with budget management, RFPs, and vendor performance evaluation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Problem-solving abilities and knowledge of regulatory compliance standards.
- Relevant experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on clinical supply management.
The Clinical Drug Supply Chain Manager's responsibilities will be:
- Lead supply planning activities, including demand forecasting and alignment with study timelines.
- Manage IP inventory strategies, monitor usage trends, and define resupply activities.
- Oversee IP shipment orders to ensure timely and compliant delivery to investigator sites.
- Collaborate on the development and testing of Interactive Response Technologies (IRT) systems.
- Develop strategies for drug return, destruction, and resupply based on stability and shelf-life.
- Coordinate ancillary and comparator supply strategies with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide input into IP-related study documents, tools, and training materials.
- Represent Clinical Drug Supply and Logistics on cross-functional study teams.
- Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and contracts for IP-related services.
- Track metrics, compile reports, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
