Clinical Delivery Transformation Manager

Want to be the driving force behind a groundbreaking clinical transformation? Lead a major programme redefining clinical operations through technology and innovation.

Proclinical is partnered with a highly ambitious, innovation-led organisation undertaking a significant transformation of its clinical delivery model. This is a pivotal leadership appointment and one of the most strategically important hires within the programme.

The successful candidate will act as the "captain of the ship" for clinical delivery transformation, establishing the methodology, priorities and implementation approach that will underpin a major operational change agenda. This is not a strategy-only role; the focus is on delivering measurable improvements through AI, automation and digital solutions that enhance clinical operations in practice.

Working at the intersection of clinical delivery, operational excellence and emerging technologies, you will play a key role in shaping the future operating model of a rapidly evolving organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the digital transformation of clinical delivery and operational processes.
Identify repetitive, inefficient and low-value activities across clinical operations.
Translate clinical workflows into AI-enabled agents, no-code automations and digital solutions.
Define transformation priorities, delivery plans and implementation roadmaps.
Provide leadership and direction to specialist transformation professionals across clinical functions.
Partner with internal AI, technology and product teams to deliver practical solutions.
Ensure digital initiatives remain clinically relevant, user-friendly and operationally effective.
Develop and track KPIs relating to efficiency, quality, cycle times, adoption and value creation.
Maintain hands-on involvement in transformation projects where required.
Visit clinical sites and engage directly with operational teams to understand real-world challenges.
Map clinical studies, site networks, patient populations and recruitment processes to identify improvement opportunities.
Support the ongoing development and evolution of the organisation's clinical operating model.

About You

Our client is seeking an experienced clinical operations professional who has successfully bridged the gap between clinical delivery and digital transformation.

You will bring:

Significant experience within Clinical Operations or Clinical Delivery.
Proven leadership, programme management or transformation experience.
A demonstrable track record of implementing AI, automation, workflow optimisation or digital transformation initiatives.
Experience translating operational requirements into scalable digital workflows and process improvements.
Strong understanding of AI agents, generative AI applications, prompt design, no-code platforms and process automation technologies.
The ability to lead, influence and bring adoption among experienced clinical professionals.
A pragmatic, implementation-focused approach with a strong bias for execution and measurable outcomes.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
The credibility to operate confidently with both clinical and technology teams.

To note: the successful individual is unlikely to be a traditional IT transformation leader without significant clinical operations experience. Equally, this role requires more than a basic familiarity with AI tools.
