Proclinical are partnering with Rhythm Biosciences who are an ASX-listed biotechnology pioneer dedicated to transforming disease detection and prevention, with a primary focus on innovative diagnostic solutions for early colorectal cancer detection. We are recruiting for a Chief Executive Officer to join their team on a permanent basis and is located in Melbourne.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle relationships with diverse shareholders, which involves investors, PR contacts, KOLs, and external partners.
  • Guide business development, deliberate high-level deals and handle partnerships.
  • Monitor operations, building collaborations with R&D, contract manufacturing, quality and regulatory teams.
  • Offer visionary leadership, setting tactical direction for both internal and external growth.
  • Guarantee compliance with present industry guidelines and stay notified on developing legal needs in these areas.
  • Cooperate on health and safety assessments and execute risk mitigation methods.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Educated to a degree level in a life science, medical or similar field though an advanced degree would be preferable.
  • Willing to travel for business needs.
  • Familiarity in an executive role, preferably as a CEO in an ASX-Listed organisation.
  • Acquaintance with ICD product, preferably with expertise around regulatory, quality and manufacturing considerations.
  • Knowledge on commercialisation, product launch, and tactical planning.
  • Familiarity monitoring technical and operational teams.
  • Able to think tactically and plan efficiently.
  • Capable of understanding and conferring scientific information efficiently to numerous shareholders.
  • Prior involvement navigating IVDR would be highly regarded.
  • Commercial and deliberation abilities within a biotech organisation.
  • Comprehension of the financial landscape.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Familiarity handling both internal and external shareholders.
  • Acquaintance with intellectual property laws.
  • Past involvement adopting a practical approach within a small, high-growth biotech.
  • A background in capital raising is desirable.
