Proclinical is seeking Category Managers specializing in Media Buying and Congresses & Events to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will develop and implement global and regional procurement strategies for media services, congresses, events, and internal meetings. You will play a key role in creating high-performing, scalable, and compliant supplier ecosystems while ensuring alignment with business priorities and stakeholder needs. This position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and regional procurement networks to deliver value and innovation across markets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute global and regional category strategies for media planning, buying services, congresses, events, and internal meetings.
- Lead strategic sourcing, supplier performance management, and governance for event-related services.
- Design and optimize supplier ecosystems, including agencies, venues, logistics providers, and production partners.
- Ensure effective deployment and adoption of global and regional frameworks across affiliates.
- Monitor value realization, performance metrics, and compliance across regions.
- Act as a strategic partner to stakeholders in Commercial, Medical, Corporate Functions, and affiliate teams.
- Build and lead a global procurement network to drive adoption of strategies and resolve challenges.
- Establish and manage supplier relationships, including performance management and innovation roadmaps.
- Align category strategies with shared service center execution models and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, and sustainability principles.
- Negotiate global framework agreements, rate cards, and performance-based contracts.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Expertise in procurement, particularly in media services, congresses, events, and related categories.
- Strong knowledge of event operating models, supplier landscapes, and service delivery approaches.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial contracting.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical or healthcare industries or other regulated environments.
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and work effectively in global matrix organizations.
- Strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and the ability to link procurement choices to business outcomes.
- Proficiency in English; French language skills are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) preferred.
