Proclinical is seeking a dedicated and innovative Bioinformatician Consultant to support the bioinformatics team. This role focuses on the creation and maintenance of RNA therapies, using a proprietary editing technology platform.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

Conduct RNA-seq data analyses with a focus on streamlining our in-house RNA-seq pipeline, analysing raw sequencing data from FASTQ files to read count and data interpretation.
Assist with maintaining and curating database systems containing various experimental data types.
Contribute to transcriptomic analyses in the field of RNA therapeutics.
Ensure the quality of your analyses by establishing reproducible methods and writing clear documentation.

Key Skills and Requirements:

A Master's degree in Bioinformatics or a related scientific field such as biology or chemistry.
Experience with Python and ideally Pandas.
Experience with NGS (Illumina, other platforms as a plus) with a focus on RNA-seq.
Knowledge of RNA biology and/or organic chemistry is desirable.
Familiarity with statistical methods and their application to molecular biology problems.
Experience with Linux and High-Performance Computing.
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Experience with predictive models (Scikit-learn and Keras) is a plus.
Ability to find solutions for uncommon problems and critical about own work.
Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
