Proclinical are seeking an Associate Scientist to join their team. The company is expanding rapidly and are seeking an exceptional candidate to fill this role to partner with their team in drug discovery of mRNA vaccines and therapeutics. The successful candidate is expected to have extensive hands-on experience with flow cytometry, ELISA/ELISPOT and related cell-based functional assays.

  • Be responsible for leading flow cytometry workflow and in-vitro related activities within the cellular immunology team.
  • Outline and carry out antigen-specific T cell and B cell assays for humans and experimental animals.
  • Support general laboratory maintenance and operations in ordering and organising supplies.
  • Work in our Cambridge-based site known as the epicenter, of world-class science, innovation, and business opportunities.
  • This is an on-site laboratory-based position, which will focus on core lab work, data analysis as well as instrument maintenance.

To do that you will need…

  • A degree in Immunology, Biology, or related discipline.
  • BS/BA or MS/MA in Biomedical sciences or related discipline with >3 years of post-degree work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Flow Cytometry and related techniques and software.
  • Experience in antigen-specific T cell and B cell assays for humans and experimental animals.
  • Familiarity with laboratory inventory.
  • US Citizenship or valid work authorisation.
  • Deep and broad cellular immunology knowledge with hands on experience.
  • Experience in multi-cytokine analysis.
  • Strong data visualisation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple and diverse cellular immunology programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cancer and/or infectious disease.
  • Experience in vaccines and/or mRNA technologies.
  • Exceptional written and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to meet project goals and keep up with deadlines
  • Ability to cross-collaborate with teams and projects as well as work efficiently with strict deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn.
