Senior Associate Scientist, Protein Engineering & Bioconjugation - Permanent - Onsite

Proclinical is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist, Protein Engineering & Bioconjugation to join a stealth biotech company. This is a permanent role located in Boston MA.

Primary Responsibilities

The Senior Associate Scientist will be a motivated and curious researcher, with willingness to learn about numerous areas of bioconjugation, chemistry and biochemistry. The successful candidate will contribute with the preparation, purification, and characterization of bioconjugates to support our research platform. In this role, the individual will integrate knowledge of chemistry and biology to enable drug delivery to a specific tissue/cell type. The individual will work in a highly cross-functional teams and will have opportunity to make significant impact across the whole organization. The position demands excellent communication skills, can-do-now attitude, and the ability to embrace our fast-paced team environment.

Skills & Requirements:

BS (+5-8 years of experience), or M.S. (+3-5 years of experience) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related fields.
Job title will be commensurate with experience.
Hands on experience with antibody/protein characterization, antibody bioconjugation, purification, and characterization of conjugates.
Ability to follow protocols, SOPs, and safety practices.
Excellent verbal communication, documentation, and strong organizational skills.
Ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work in a fast paced and quick changing environment.
Experience performing and optimizing diverse bioconjugation strategies.
Experience with biochemical and biophysical techniques for protein ligand characterization (e.g., SPR, BLI, ELISA, DSF, DLS, etc.).
Experience with analytical techniques for characterization of protein ligands and conjugates (e.g., SDS-PAGE, RP-HPLC, ion exchange and size exclusion chromatography, LC-MS, UV-vis).

The Senior Associate Scientist, Bioconjugation will:

Generate, purify, and analyze novel bioconjugates for in-vitro and in-vivo studies using developed procedures.
Perform biochemical and biophysical characterization of antibody ligands.
Help the team to develop and optimize novel bioconjugation strategies.
Help the team to develop new method to characterize and analyze bioconjugates.
Keep accurate experimental records in ELN.
Present the data to other team members.
Help with the general lab upkeep.
