Associate Scientist: In-Vivo - Contract - Tarrytown, NY

We are seeking a talented and scientifically motivated Senior Associate Scientist to join our client's Metabolism research team. The individual will be involved in basic and translational researches aiming at identifying drug targets for metabolic diseases such as obesity and diabetes. We are looking for a candidate with experience and expertise in mouse in vivo experiments in metabolic disease area.

As a Senior Associate Scientist, a typical day may include the following:

Design and perform various in vivo and ex vivo experiments in mice: drug dosing, measuring body weight, serum collection, dissection, tissue collection, etc.
Analyze data, record results in electronic notebooks, and generate study reports.
Present data in group meetings

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must have a BS/MS, possess excellent hands-on skills for animal studies, and a minimum of 3 years of lab experience.
Strong research background in metabolic diseases, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in animal experiments
Self-motivated, and capable of working independently and in a team
Good organizational skills with ability to manage multiple experiments
Willing to learn new experimental techniques to develop yourself as a more proficient and independent researcher

Compensation:

$42.00 - $52. 00 Per Hour
