Proclinical is seeking an Associate Scientist II will join the CMC - DS Process Development Group at our client's facility in the US.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be supporting process development efforts to incorporate novel chemistries into the manufacturing platform.
Skills & Requirements:
- Required: BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Process development experience/background
- Strong analytical chemistry background and hands-on laboratory experience
- Chemistry background with experience running analytical testing, particularly LC/HPLC
- Understanding of analytical techniques such as pH, Osmolality, Conductivity, HPLC, and LC-MS
- Strong laboratory documentation and record-keeping practices
- Knowledge of oligonucleotide manufacturing, including: Phosphoramidite chemistry, Chromatography, and Ultrafiltration
- Experience with relevant analytical testing software, e.g., Agilent and UNICORN laboratory software
The Associate Scientist's responsibilities will be:
- Support oligonucleotide synthesis method development, optimization, and scale-up
- Support downstream processing method development
- Execute in-process analytical testing
- Partner with research and process scientists to develop robust processes for novel chemistries
- Maintain strong laboratory documentation and record-keeping
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly laboratory environment
- Assist with routine laboratory and equipment maintenance
