Proclinical is seeking an Associate Director, Packaging Development to oversee the development and validation of secondary and tertiary packaging solutions within a global manufacturing network. This role focuses on creating innovative, cost-effective, and patient-centric packaging solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will also lead graphic design and visual identity initiatives for packaging, ensuring alignment with business needs. The position requires strong project management skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support product launches and lifecycle management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate secondary and tertiary packaging solutions from concept to commercialization.
- Lead graphic design and visual identity projects for packaging, including artwork creation and modification.
- Establish and maintain processes, SOPs, and training materials to ensure smooth packaging launches.
- Identify and evaluate packaging features that enhance patient and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize costs and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement packaging standards and guidelines.
- Provide technical expertise and governance on packaging technologies, trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Support technology transfer projects and manufacturing strategies related to packaging.
- Manage change control processes and ensure effective communication across teams.
- Maintain strong links with device and primary packaging development teams to prepare for new product launches.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Strong background in GMP-regulated environments and pharmaceutical project management.
- Proven experience in secondary and tertiary packaging development, including transport packaging.
- Expertise in graphic design and visual identity creation for pharmaceutical products.
- Knowledge of regulatory labeling requirements and artwork management.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and influence stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with a focus on problem-solving and innovation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in English and French.
- Certification in project management is a plus.
- Understanding of finance, including cost of goods (COG) and investment decision-making.
