Proclinical is seeking an Associate Director of New Product Planning for a global pharmaceutical company located in New Jersey and New York. This position will direct the pre-commercialization activities for new indications. Specific job responsibilities include strategy development, positioning, market evaluation/forecasting, identification of issues and opportunities within a given market, competitive landscape analysis, and creating unbranded disease campaigns to prepare the market and the brand.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the annual brand planning process, providing deep functional input to form strategic priorities
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members and external partners to lead the creation and delivery of strategy and operational launch readiness plans
- Develop US KOL engagement plans and congress activities including conducting advisory boards to help generate insights
- Identify potential risks to the development plan and develop potential solutions to mitigate risks and maximize market uptake
- Partner with the market research team to organize new indication research, including development of customer journeys and ensure insights are pulled through market preparation activities
- Proactively identifies new strategies, tactics and vendors to challenge the team's thinking and raise the level of performance
- Manage budget and tactical timelines for given indication(s)
- Ensure all marketing projects are compliant and have obtained necessary approvals through the appropriate medical, legal and regulatory process
Skills and Requirements:
- BS or BA is required; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 7+ years' pharmaceutical industry experience
- Minimum of 5 years in commercial roles (brand marketing, market research, new product planning)
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Able to influence colleagues and external partners/stakeholders, and build consensus
- Strong scientific/medical aptitude and experience understanding clinical trial data
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Financial/budgetary experience
- Travel is estimated at 20% of time, including some weekend travel
